Bunny and film techniques

Some of the most intriguing ways to use film is the usage of light and sound in the film itself. Many times, the actual dialogue of a film is unnecessary and the viewer can interpret what is meant even without anyone ever saying anything. Not only are body language, emotional movements, and sound effects used directly to help describe whats going on to the viewer, but light and sound/music also play a huge role. Bunny is a great example of just that.

Int he film, an elder bunny is in the kitchen cooking by herself. Throughout many obvious notions, we learn that the bunny's male companion (Probably husband) has passed away, leaving her all alone. The usage of light here puts an emphasis on the front of the screen and the things happening in direct contact with Bunny. Eventually an annoying moth comes into picture, and fighting ensues between Bunny and the annoying moth. After a while, bunny seems to have beaten the moth by throwing it into a cake to be baked. This is where light and sound get even more important, as the lighting and the music shift to show that something major is happening. Instead of a delicious cake, a portal is then opened that bunny goes through. After, we see bunny floating away to bright light, and gentle music simulating that bunny has made it to the afterlife to be rejoined with her husband.
